Out of Denton, The Teenage Cool Kids play some pretty rad music that throws back to the best of the 90's (allowing me to finally have a reason to type the word rad). Their 2 records deep and have a third on the way. The cut below is off their first record Queer Saluations from 2007. If you like this track you can catch another one on my set this week at CHRY Thrusday from 12-1pm.
Batteries Not included, but don't worry spelling mistakes and uniformed opinions are plentifully provided

The Deep Dark Woods
Canadiana, is a tough genre to define, artists that fits into it, just do.
Much like The Band, the Deep Dark Woods mine folk, r&b, country and soul, with a finished product that transcends each of these influences. I wish everyone who has gotten into Mumford and Sons over the last year would be forced to listen to this, as it exemplifies the sound M&S chase but fail to capture. Their latest album doesn't rock it burns slow and steady, check out the epic 'Banks of The Leopold Canal' below.
For you Torontonians their at Lee's on Saturday.
